A We had a fabulous little picnic on May 17 for Thunderbird Appreciation Day and thank all that brought your birds out to show them off and enjoy the day. We had 9 couples, the Cherrys, the Denhams, the Hills, the Horns, the Kelleys (us), the Longs, the Panowitzs, the Skruchs, Tom Young and Linda Rodgers and Miss Anne Collins who always comes out for the MATC events. To stay perfectly legal, we split into 2 groups when we arrived at the picnic area, the men and the women. Are you surprised? I didn’t think so… We had our masks, we didn’t share food and we stayed 6 feet apart. Still had great conversation. It got a little windy and chilly so we didn’t stay but about 2 hours, but it was so nice to get out. We had a tech session, where Tom showed Phyllis how to replace the battery in a retro bird. Skip got a lot of great pictures which I’m sure Dan will displayed somewhere in the June newsletter.
